Clara Kramer Spoke To A High School Assembly

A True Tale Of Holocaust Suffering

A Holocaust TreasureClara Kramer is a 82 year old Holocaust Survivor who spoke to Juniors and Seniors of Dunellen High School. Principle Gene Mosley welcomed her to the podium and the assembly was privileged to hear the remarkable story of survival.
This remarkable event was a once in a lifetime experience for the students and they responded very well.
She Lived Under A HouseClara, and 15 other Jews, survived for twenty months in a crawlspace under a house. The crawlspace had very little air and almost no light.
Two Cups A Water A DayThe area held 15 other people including her immediate family, mother, father and sister. Each person endured rations of 2 cups of water a day to drink and bathe with, as well as small amounts of rotten potatoes to eat.
Nazis Shot Her Poppa And SisterDuring a fire that had broke out in the upstairs portion of the house, Mrs. Kramer's father and sister fled into the street and were killed by the Nazi's.
She Wrote A BookMrs. Kramer kept a diary during her entire time hiding out which is now on display at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. Her story will come to life in a book entitled "Clara's War" due for release in April. There is also the possibility of a movie to be made.
Let Me See If I Got This Straight
Fifteen Jewish people spent 20 months living together in a crawl space. I hope Mr Blume averted his eyes as Clara dropped her drawers, and passed a stool in the corner.

I really don't understand how or why people are just so quick to buy up the "holocaust" nonsense. If you just break it down, it just sound so unreal. Honestly, some critical thinking and it all falls apart.
ReplyDeleteThis is real stuff, and the holocaust was REAL. Honestly, I read her book and it is a real work of art. Its true and why don't you use that "critical thinking" of yours and see how far you get in life. Your English is a little off, if you're going to say something isn't real, at least write it in proper English.
DeleteNice critical thinking and you too Lone Wolf. Read the book, before you judge the story. I'm glad you put anonymous because those people went through a lot and people could get really mad at you, like I am for example.
Delete"some critical thinking and it all falls apart"
ReplyDeleteabsolutely
if there was no light, how did she write a diary. How could nobody SMELL the 15 people down there, their waste, etc? And how could so many surive on some 'rotten potatoes' - i assume the last of the surivor books will be written by people who were newborn infants in the 1940's, because how much fucking longer can all these so called survivors survive? What are they gonna do then? Dig up some 120 year old?
ReplyDelete^good questions BunBun4life ;)
ReplyDeletethanks for your comments

ReplyDeleteshe had to live through it u didnt
In response to "BunBun", I have read this survival story and would be more than happy to explain to you some of your questions. Clara Kramer was able to write in her diary (which was a gift from the man who was hiding the group for Christmas) because the crawl space was equiped with lightbulb that was strung through the bedroom and under the floorboards. There was also a small hole from the house to the outside that when the brick was moved, allowed Clara to write during the day. When the Russian's moved forward and began to take Poland back, the electricity was cut which made near impossible for her to record. The electricity was also rationed frequently during the war which made it difficult. CLara's mother stressed the importance of her writing in journal as way to fight back and explain to all what happened to MILLIONS during WWII. (as well as preWWII. As to your question of the smell of 18 poeple (the small group was raised to 18 people before Poland was liberated)- this was a major concern for the group. They had 4 buckets to use throughout the days or week (depending on german vistor hours). The family hiding this group feared the group being discovered by the smell that did raise through the floors frequently. The family had to take in several NAZI soliders and police as a call of duty and emptying waste buckets was near impossible during this time. (they were also unable to USE the buckets during these visits because of the noise...the group would go days without using the bathroom.) Clara quotes often throughout her book how there bodies were trained to not eliminate waste for days on end, go without food. Clara quotes often how terrible it would be to be discovered because of the smell of their waste.
ReplyDeletei feel you should read the book and maybe research history. Even if you are unable to do this, a picture is worth a million words. I pray that something this awful never happens to you.
